Subscribe to the MacRumors YouTube channel for more videos. The company's plan became clear this week when a new version of the Newton email app showed up in the App Store and the Mac App Store, bringing it back to life. The Newton apps were never actually pulled, but they hadn't been updated for months and were becoming unusable due to bugs and crashes.
Newton Mail Is Back – Is It Worth 50 Per Year
Since December, CloudMagic and Essential have been working to bring Newton Mail back to life, and there are interface improvements and new features like deleting a single email in a thread, resizing the Mac compose window, adding emails to OmniFocus, and other enhancements to the compose window on Mac.
Newton Mail has also had its pricing restructured. At the time it was shut down, CloudMagic was charging $100 per year upfront for Newton, which may be a major reason why it ultimately was an unsustainable business model. It's difficult to get people to pay $100 for an email app.
Of course, with any third-party email app, it's always worth investigating privacy policies to see what companies are doing with your data. Newton says it may share aggregated or de-identified information with third parties and works with third-party social platforms like Facebook to serve targeted ads unless you opt out, which is something to be aware of.
You do realize this is just a clone of the Boomerang app that was released several years ago right? Boomerang has read receipts (opt-in for the recipient, not invasive tracking receipts like most). Boomerang invented email snooze. Pretty uneducated piece here.
Along with that, the app offers quick replies that can be customized as needed, email pinning for important emails, and snooze capabilities to mark emails that you want to get back to later. The search function in the app is also very great, and can be used to search with using natural language. The app also allows integrations with services such as Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, Pocket, Evernote, etc.Install on iOS (Free)7. Email by Easilydo (iOS)Email by Easilydo is an iOS-only app that offers support for multiple inboxes, along with a unified inbox to allow users to manage all of their email accounts in one place. Users can unsubscribe from mailing lists with a single tap, and get alerts for tracking any packages for orders that they might have placed.
Cloud magic aka Newton is one of the best email client available today. I have used this app for almost like 2 years. But suddenly they come up with subscription of 50$. But being an Indian, paying 50$ is not possible because we have a different mind set to use something which is free of cost. Then my search for another email client started and tried Blue mail ( taken a lot of time in delivering emails. More than 30 mins.) , Outlook, type app ( similar to blue mail ).And finally came across with a an app called AQUA MAIL.This is another app and most importantly delivers the email in seconds. There are various options available in settings where someone can set custom sound and message sync duration.Download this app and let me know if you come across any problem with it.
