How to add new record or update existing record using MySQL with ASP.NET?
I'm developing a very simple webpage in ASP.NET using Visual Studio 2012. This is my first web application and I would really like to use MySQL database to store the users' personal information.
I have tried both the examples given here and here, but there is no data are inserted into the database.
When I run the program, there is no any error on the webpage, but when I look into the database, there is no any new record.
So I have a few questions:
Which type of connection string should I use? The second one is for the SQL Server database.
For SQL Server, I should use SQL Server Management Studio to create/modify the database first?
For MySQL, which connection string should I use?
