The Hardy HI 1734-WS module is ideal for applications stable weight data and low cost of ownership are critical components to successful machine and process design. Designed exclusively for weight processing in POINT I/O products such as communication interface modules and terminal bases from Rockwell Automation, the HI 1734-WS enhances the productivity of manufacturing systems by digitally suppressing noise and dramatically reducing scale settling time.

Designed for static weighing applications Helm weigh modules provide 2 independent channels of weigh scale measurement. Each weigh module can accept two 350 ohm strain gages or up to four 700 ohm strain gages and compatable with most industry standard load cells. The sensors may be wired directly into the module, simplifying the installation. With a self-contained power source, no external amplification is required. Calibration settings are programmable. Helm weigh modules are availablefor 1734(Point I/O, 1746(SLC 500), 1756(Controllogix) and 1769(Micro/Compac) series of programmable controllers.
To accomplish this, simply set the dial to a number between 1 and 256. This will set the IP address to 192.168.1.xxx where xxx is the value specified by the dial. At this point, you may connect to the module just as you did above.
We are working to communicate point I/O 1734-AENT Series B to PC (LabVIEW) by Ethernet/IP. We need to read inputs from slots and need to write output to slots and the library we are using in LabVIEW needs class, instance and attribute parameter to comunícate with specific slot. I read those parameters you can configure that in the web page allen bradley (you put the IP point I/O in the browser internet) and then configure those parameters in the tab diagnostic messaging but for my case that tab is not visible, so I could not configure this part.
The setup...1734-AENT Ethernet/IP remote I/O rack that will communicate with a PC running National Instruments LabVIEW. The 1734-AENT module communicates via Ethernet/IP utilizing CIP. -um011_-en-p.pdf
I cannot remember if the 1734-AENT module has a built-in web server. After setting communication of the 1734-AENT module, and cycling power, and verifying you can ping the module, open up a web browser and enter the 1734-AENT Ethernet/IP address. The module will need to be configured for words of rack size read and write (typically 1 word adapter, 1 word for each module, 2 words for "special" modules). Once addressed, cycle power, rack size configured, cycle power...in the PC, configure the CIP communication to this rack with X words read and X words write. These words will have your 1734-AENT I/O module data. Stripping that data out...that is an exercise for LabView.
I can ping 1734 module from the PC, actually I have gotten information from LabVIEW module with class = 1, instance = 1 and attribute = 7 and this information was the model of module (1734-AENT adapter Ethernet), but this information I do not want to get, the desired information is to read inputs slots and to write to outputs slots.
The section where you need to configure the class, instance and attribute information is in the web server (as show in the attached image gotten for the datasheet) but my problem is that for my point I/O this section (diagnostic messaging) is not able and I do not know why. Can you have any suggestion or idea for my problem?
For your application, the 1734-AENT module will not display the Network Settings, or the Network Settings are greyed out and one cannot alter them? Refer to Appendix B; Page 100 is the configuration for this module. -um018_-en-e.pdf
There are (3) areas that may be causing the problem...Firmware version (the firmware may be initial and needs to be flashed to latest version to unlock features), Configuration Without RSLogix (all 1734-AENT literature I have found requires RSLogix5000 [A-B PLC programming software] to configure the AENT module with all of its resident I/O modules), 1734-AENT for a FieldBus application (I have not verified that 1734 Point I/O is capable with an Ethernet/IP Fieldbus and not utilizing Rockwell's RSLinx for communication or RSLogix for configuration). 2ff7e9595c
